The Savigni Family

Tuscan meat

For the Savigni family, passion is of the utmost importance. At their Tuscan meat store, every product is treated with great care.

Fausto Savigni’s family chose to dedicate themselves completely to tradition, returning to their origins. This is why their rearing method focuses on safeguarding the animals’ natural life cycles as they roam freely. Today, the Savigni family oversees all the production phases, from growth to reproduction to the sale of the meats and cold cuts at the store. One of the core products at the Savigni butcher shop is the Cinta Senese: the cattle of this ancient Tuscan breed are born on the company’s estate in Sambuca Pistoiese and are left to roam in the Dynamo Camp WWF Reserve at around 60-90 days old. They live freely in a wild, forested area about 1,000 hectares in size, breathing in the fresh mountain air.

Animal feed is used only if strictly necessary and, if needed, is exclusively organic. The products themselves attest to the Savigni’s hard work: precious meats with rustic and authentic flavours. Here, the family’s passion is strong, just like the meat.

Available at the store: Cinta Senese, beef and poultry, all of the highest quality. These include Chianina, Limousine, Livornese and Emellinata of Rovigo, as well as aged prosciutto, bacon, capocollo, cheek lard, Tuscan salami, finocchiona, lard cream, steaks and other meats cooked on a Josper grill.
