Cooking school

Carla e Fabrizio Guarducci

Lorenzo de' Medici cooking school

La scuola di cucina
Flavour, passion, culture. Carla and Fabrizio Guarducci’s cooking school has been a Florentine institution for 21 years.
The Lorenzo de’ Medici was one of the first schools in Florence to specialize in teaching Italian. Over the years, the courses on offer have grown to more than 400, divided into different subjects. Obviously, cuisine couldn’t be overlooked as it is an integral part of the country’s culture.

For Carla and Fabrizio Guarducci, food is one of the best ways to start interacting with and immersing yourself in the social fabric of a destination. At one of Lorenzo de’ Medici’s cooking classes, the recipe is just the launch pad to deepen your understanding of Mediterranean culture, its style and know-how, as well as its flavours.

The goal is to make the students feel like they’re part of the city that is hosting them, and Mercato Centrale is the perfect place to satisfy their curiosity. The artisans share their knowledge and the stories that are behind each product, that is, its history. By walking into Carla and Fabrizio Guarducci’s kitchen, you’re getting an all-round experience, supported by competent and creative teachers.
