The Restaurant

Every dish has a story to tell at Farmacia del Cambio, where Piedmontese tradition takes centre stage.
Farmacia Bestente first opened in 1833 in piazza Carignano in Turin, adjacent to the historic restaurant Del Cambio. Nearly two centuries later, in 2014, the space was transformed into a laboratory of taste. The bistro today offers pastries and savoury foods instead of medicine and herbal remedies, with a selection of products made according to the Piedmontese tradition made by Matteo Baronetto. The star among the many iconic dishes at the Farmacia del Cambio is the veal with tuna sauce, a must-try dish from Piedmont. The small pâtisserie is worth exploring, with its selection of traditional regional sweets, in particular the exquisite gianduiotto chocolates from Turin! And to drink? A number of cocktails expertly prepared and served bottled are available to try – the perfect pairing to delicious food at the restaurant.

Available in the store: Start with veal with tuna sauce or rabbit “tuna” before moving on to the first courses, including Agnolotti pasta with roast beef sauce, gnocchi alla bava, tagliatelle with rabbit ragù, and, to follow, roasted leg of lamb braised in Barolo wine or cod in a creamy onion sauce.
