RePoPP
Circular Store

For RePoPP it’s important to look to the future. That’s why the store supports an urban circular economy.
A system based on the idea of recycling and regenerating, which saves resources from a sustainable standpoint, reducing food waste and redistributes food to those in need.
Every year, tons of food go to waste, which can still be put to good use, recycled and redistributed thanks to donations made by the food and farming supply chain.
RePoPP is a project by the city of Turin, with the support of Amiat Gruppo Iren, Novamont, Eco dalle Città and Mercato Centrale Torino. The Ecomori and Sentinelle dei Rifiuti collect the remaining food from the Porta Palazzo market stalls from Monday to Saturday. Thanks to their work, kilos and kilos of food that is still good to eat are saved every week before being handed out to those in need.
RePoPP is a project that generates awareness on several levels and which makes savings in CO2, with a series of benefits for the environment and our health.
The food policy store is a place where people can find out more about the project and where awareness-raising activities will take place. Every month, chefs and food artisans will present tasty new recipes using leftover food and social lunches will be held where everyone can savour recipes for free. Reducing food waste generates a proper local support network. RePoPP is a community project for the community.
