The De Bellis brothers‘s shop

the pastry shop

For the De Bellis brothers, pastry is beauty, emotion and taste. Two heads and one heart, which beats for the sweet recipes of the shop.
Andrea: from policeman to master pastry chef! It’s a love for art, combined with a particular curiosity that nourishes the beautiful, that has led Andrea to devote himself to what he deems to be the synesthetic expression par excellence: pastry-making, considered a living entity in continuous movement, a profession which allows him to combine creation with modern aesthetics.
After a course in Rome, he went to Spain to work at several Michelin-starred restaurants, including Ferran Adrià, and his passion was sparked! Back in Rome he decided to open a shop with his brother to make desserts for restaurants, and in 2013, they opened their first store in the heart of Rome: Campo de’ Fiori.
Marco: Entrepreneur, confectioner, the hands and mind of the shop. After various entrepreneurial ventures, he decided to help his brother in this sweet adventure, becoming the creative and practical mind of Pasticceria De Bellis.
At the heart of the philosophy, and recipes made by the two brothers, is the search for excellent ingredients and the study of the product. Their range at the Mercato Centrale shop includes mignon – in particular, cream puffs that, despite their small size, offer all the sensations that only a sweet escape can – single portion delicacies inspired by the great classics of Italian and French pastries, creatively reinterpreted, and cakes.
