Il pesce fresco di Fabrizio Giannini e Stefano Di Somma

Andrea Orecchioni‘s shop

fresh fish

For Andrea Orecchioni, fish is the sea, goodness and authenticity. In all of his dishes, there’s a dash of his homeland, Sardinia, and a certain heaven on earth in particular: La Maddalena.

Andrea Orecchioni turned an old reef-side pizzeria into a landmark for travellers to the Costa Smeralda. With his Catalan lobster he’s succeeded in delighting everyone’s tastebuds and La Scogliera is now the place to go in La Maddalena for seafood lovers. Cicero Orecchioni brings a taste of his Sardinia to the Mercato, in Rome city centre, focusing on local produce and accentuating them with Mediterranean-inspired flavours. Tuna and salmon tartare, seabass carpaccio, grilled swordfish and shrimp, paella and lobster rolls are all on the menu, as well as dishes that embrace Rome’s food culture, such as cuttlefish, puntarelle and anchovy sauce julienne.
