Andrea Orecchioni‘s shop

Seafood cuisine

For Andrea Orecchioni, fish feels like sea, tastiness and authenticity. In all of his dishes there’s a dash of his homeland, Sardinia, in particular of La Maddalena: a heaven on earth.

Andrea Orecchioni turned an old reef-side pizzeria into a landmark for travellers to Costa Smeralda. He brings a taste of his Sardinia to the Mercato, in Rome city centre, focusing on local produce and enhancing them with Mediterranean-inspired flavours.

Every day in the shop is a feast for your tastebuds, flavours are highlighted by excellent raw materials and Andrea Orecchioni’s ability to always prepare unique dishes.

At the counter you can find hot and cold dishes: from the soup of the day, passing through lasagna with shrimps and basil, tuna Milanese-style cutlet, fish burgers, swordfish croquettes with provolone and pistachios, salt cod montanara with tomatoes, capers and olives, swordfish parmigiana, marinara or mussels from Taranto, Catalan-style prawns, cereals and seafood and squid salad with citrus fruits.
